Endless Boogie in Melbourne

I’d heard a lot of good things about Endless Boogie but I missed their last trip to Australia and there was no way I was going to miss them this time. I caught three shows in eight days (photographing two) and what I saw was nothing short of amazing – one of the best rock bands I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing, almost a week on from the last show I’m still buzzing.

Good Friday became a great Friday with a show at The Tote! Click photo on the left below to see the full set from the show.

Then the following Friday it was back to The Tote again for another blast of rock n roll goodness. Click the picture below right to see the full photo gallery.

Iggy and The Stooges in Melbourne

I’ve seen Iggy Pop many times over the years and I’ve seen The Stooges at a couple of festivals but this show at Festival Hall, Melbourne, 27 March 2013 was by far the best – Iggy might be 65 but he came out with energy that leaves most performers a third of his age for dead. So good!

Justin Townes Earle at The Corner

Sunday 3 February saw Justin Townes Earle return to The Corner Hotel to deliver a fine set of old style country – music shot straight from the heart and delivered by a man of immense talent. Great show!

Big Day Out 2013 – Melbourne

Late January and the Big Day Out juggernaut rolled into Melbourne – the festival took place on January 26 at Flemington Racecourse and the 50,000 strong crowd was blessed with fantastic weather and a line up that included the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sleigh Bells, Bloody Beetroots, OFF!, Gary Clark Jr, Jeff The Brotherhood, Death Grips, Against Me, Every Time I Die and a whole heap more.

Jeff The Brotherhood at The Corner

Nashville brothers Jeff The Brotherhood showed that a two piece band with three guitar strings can make one helluva great sound and put on one helluva show. The gig was at The Corner Hotel on January in the lead up to the Big Day Out.
